Our Story
GitBloc is a thesis project developed by 4th year Computer Science students who identified the critical need for a secure and transparent procurement system in the construction industry.
As students researching modern supply chain challenges, we observed that many companies still rely on manual processes prone to errors, delays, and fraud. This inspired us to create a blockchain-based platform that ensures every transaction is verified, encrypted, and permanently recorded.
Our system combines Next.js for the frontend, Firebase for real-time data management, Python for backend services including web scraping and encryption, and blockchain technology for secure transaction recording. We've implemented features like intelligent bidding systems, real-time supplier matching, and secure seed phrase authentication.
While GitBloc is an academic project, we're committed to demonstrating how emerging technologies like blockchain, encryption, and AI can revolutionize trust, efficiency, and security in procurement systems.
